Growing up in Texas, Dr. Sanderson attended Sam Houston State University on a baseball scholarship, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology and preparing for dental school. He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio Dental School, graduating in 1998. Upon graduation, he served his country in the United States Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. After an honorable discharge, Dr. Sanderson decided to settle down and start a practice in Magnolia, Texas, which he and his business partner grew from one to four locations over the span of 25 years.
After visiting Colorado during their daughter’s college visit several years back, Jonathan and Kristin fell in love with the area. and set their sights on starting a life here. After a few years, the practice was sold, the kids graduated from their respective colleges, and the dream became a reality.
Dr. Sanderson has been married to Kristin, his college sweetheart, since 1997. Together, they have raised three kids, Shelby, Bailey, and Jon, and are currently raising a Labradoodle named Rosie. While not at work, Dr. Sanderson enjoys travelling and attending concerts of all kinds. He is also a huge football fan and enjoys hiking and playing golf. Luckily for his patients, Dr. Sanderson is much better at dentistry than golf.
